Las Vegas Date Night: Four Nights Out for Two

Most of the people who ask us for help are two people, not twelve. Las Vegas is genuinely one of the best date night cities in the world once you stop treating it as a bachelor party town, and the best version almost never involves a table minimum. Here are four nights that work for two, from free to a proper splurge.

Night one: the classic, without leaving Bellagio

  1. 7pm, a drink at Petrossian Bar. Bellagio's lobby bar under the Chihuly glass ceiling, with a pianist playing in the evenings. Quiet, elegant, and the right way to start.
  2. 8pm, the fountains. The Fountains of Bellagio run every 15 minutes from 8pm until around midnight, and they are free. Walk out to the lake for one show, then come back in.
  3. 8:30pm onward, The Pinky Ring. Bruno Mars' live music lounge, built like a Rat Pack era room, with live music most nights and the band and DJ getting going from around 9pm.

Two things to know about The Pinky Ring. It is reservation driven, so book it rather than hoping to walk in, and it bans photos and video on the floor, which is a large part of why it feels the way it does. An early slot can carry a low minimum or none, and stage side seating starts around 300 dollars, which for two people is a dinner-sized number that includes your drinks. Full detail in how to get into The Pinky Ring.

Why this is the night we recommend most: every stop is inside one building, so there is no taxi, no queue and no dress code argument. It is the single most requested room on this site for a reason.

Night two: the view

  1. Sunset at Skyfall, W Las Vegas. A rooftop bar 64 floors up, reopened in late October 2026 after a redesign, at the hotel formerly called Delano. It opens at 5pm, so time it for sunset. On Thursday to Saturday there are DJs from 9pm.
  2. Dinner on the Strip at around 7:30.
  3. Dueling pianos at Eastside Lounge, Encore. Live from 9:30pm every night, no cover, and far more fun than it has any right to be. It is the best room in the city for a couple who want to laugh.

Night three: almost free

  1. A drink at The Chandelier, The Cosmopolitan. A three story bar inside a chandelier of two million crystals, refreshed in September 2026. The casino level is open 24 hours and costs nothing to walk into. You are paying for one cocktail, not for the room.
  2. The Bellagio fountains, a short walk away. Free.
  3. Live music at Easy's, ARIA. Inside the Proper Eats food hall, which sounds unpromising and is not. Bands, jazz trios and vocalists seven nights a week, and no cover.

For two people that is roughly 100 to 150 dollars all in, with drinks at 20 to 25 dollars each plus tips. See what drinks really cost.

Night four: the big night out

If you want the full Las Vegas nightclub once, do it properly and do it free.

  1. Dinner at 7pm, not 8:30. This is the single most important line on this page. Guest lists cut off around 11pm, and a late dinner is how most couples end up paying at the door.
  2. A free guest list for one big room. XS reopened on 5 November 2026 after a full renovation. Marquee and OMNIA both let you change rooms during the night, which suits two people better than one huge floor. See can two of us get in free.
  3. In line by 10:45pm. The headliner plays around 1 to 2:30am, and you will be glad you got in when it was easy.

A table is rarely worth it for two at a nightclub. Minimums start around 1,200 to 2,000 dollars and the list gets you into the same room.

What to wear

For the lounge nights, smart casual: what you would wear to a good restaurant. Clean sneakers are fine almost everywhere except XS. For a club night, he needs a collared shirt and real shoes at XS, and no shorts or hats anywhere. Details in the dress code answer.

Things that make a date night better here

  • Stay in one building or one neighbourhood. Resorts that look next door are a fifteen minute walk apart.
  • Book the one thing that needs booking. On these four nights that is The Pinky Ring, and nothing else.
  • Weeknights are better for couples. Lounges are calmer, live music rooms are easier to get into, and you can hear each other.
  • Rideshare pickups are a long walk. Allow fifteen minutes at the end of the night.

Tell a host which night you have and what you are in the mood for and we will put it together, book The Pinky Ring if you want it and get you on a list for anything else. No booking fee. If you are deciding on the day, start with what to do tonight.
