Guest List vs Bottle Service in Las Vegas: Which One Fits Your Group
Every group walking into a Las Vegas club faces the same fork in the road. Do you get on the free guest list, or do you book a table with bottle service? Both get you in. They give you very different nights. Here is how to choose.
The free guest list, in plain terms
A guest list gets your group reduced or no cover if you arrive before a cutoff time, usually around eleven at night for clubs and around noon for pool parties. You walk in, you have the run of the venue, and you buy drinks at the bar like anyone else. You do not get reserved seating.
It is the lowest-cost way into the biggest rooms in the city. The trade-off is that you are standing, the bar can be busy, and on the hottest nights the guest list line still moves slower than the table entrance.
Bottle service, in plain terms
A table with bottle service gives your group a reserved spot, a dedicated server and a fast walk past the line. You commit to a spend minimum on bottles, and in return you have a home base for the night, a place to keep your group together and a far smoother entrance. See real table pricing here.
A quick way to decide
Choose the guest list when:
- You are watching your budget and happy to stand and mingle.
- Your group is small to medium and flexible about arriving early.
- You want to sample a few venues in one night rather than settle in.
Choose bottle service when:
- You are celebrating something and want a guaranteed seat and a clean entrance.
- Your group is larger and you want everyone in one place.
- You are arriving late, going on a sold-out night, or simply want the VIP version.
What about the wait?
On a normal night the guest list moves fine. On a marquee night with a big headliner, the table entrance is noticeably faster, and a host meeting you at the door is faster still. If skipping the line matters to your group, that is the strongest argument for a table.
Either way, use a host
A Velvet Rope host gets you on the free guest list at no cost, or prices and places your table with no booking fee. We will tell you honestly which one fits your group and your night, even when the answer is the free option. Join a guest list or message a host to talk it through.
