The Best Nights to Go Out in Las Vegas
Las Vegas has nightlife every single day, but the nights are not the same. Some bring the biggest headliners and the biggest crowds. Others bring better value and room to breathe. Here is how the week actually plays out.
Friday and Saturday
The peak. Nearly every major club is open, the headliners are the biggest of the week, and the rooms are full. If you want the full-tilt Las Vegas experience, this is it. Expect the highest table minimums, the longest lines and the most energy. Book ahead, because the best tables and daybeds sell out days in advance.
Sunday
Underrated. Sunday is a marquee night in Las Vegas because of pool-and-nightclub crossovers and strong lineups, especially on holiday weekends. The crowd is there to party and the energy is high, but it can be a touch easier to navigate than Saturday. Pool parties also peak on Sunday afternoons.
Thursday
The smart traveler's night. Several top clubs open Thursday with real headliners, the crowd is lively, and the value is better than the weekend. If your trip allows it, a Thursday night out can give you eighty percent of the weekend experience at a friendlier price.
Monday through Wednesday
Quieter, but not empty. A handful of venues stay open midweek, including some of the best rooms in the city, and they can be a great time with smaller crowds. This is the window for the best table value and the easiest entrances. If you are visiting midweek, a host will point you to whichever rooms are actually live that night.
Plan around the lineup, not just the day
The headliner matters as much as the night. A Tuesday with a huge name can outdraw a Saturday with an unknown. Before you lock your plans, check who is playing where. A Velvet Rope host tracks every lineup on the Strip and will tell you which night and which room is the move for your trip.
