Encore Beach Club vs XS: Which Wynn Party Should You Book
Three of the best parties in Las Vegas happen at the same resort, and people constantly ask us which one to spend their money on. They are not interchangeable. Encore Beach Club by day, EBC at Night, and XS are three genuinely different experiences that happen to share a postcode and a pool. Here is how to choose.
The three parties at Encore
- Encore Beach Club runs Thursday through Sunday, 11am to sunset in season. Three tiered pools, daybeds, cabanas and bungalows, and the loudest daytime lineup on the Strip. Tables from around 1,500.
- EBC at Night is the same venue after dark on select Friday and Saturday nights in season. The full beach club, under the lights. Tables from around 2,000.
- XS is the indoor nightclub, Friday through Monday, doors at 10pm, opening onto the same pool. Tables from around 2,000.
The honest recommendation for most trips
If you are choosing one, and it is pool season, take Encore Beach Club in the day. Here is why, and it is not the answer most people expect.
- Daylight is better value. A daybed for a group starts lower than a nightclub table and gives you six hours instead of four, with a pool, shade and somewhere to actually sit down.
- The lineups are the same calibre. The DJs playing Encore Beach on a Saturday afternoon are the same tier playing the nightclubs that evening.
- The door is far easier. Dayclub doors care much less about group composition, which matters enormously if your group is mostly men. We covered why in can a group of guys get into a Vegas club.
- You still get your evening. A pool day ends at sunset. You can shower, eat, and still go out. A nightclub night eats the whole night and the next morning.
EBC at Night: the one people underrate
EBC at Night is the most distinctive of the three and the one nobody outside Vegas knows to ask for. It is an open air pool party at midnight, in a city where every other big room is indoors. If your trip lands on a Friday or Saturday when it is running in season, it is a better story than either of the other two, and it is the correct answer for anyone who finds standard nightclubs claustrophobic.
Two practical notes. It runs on select nights only, not every weekend, so it has to be checked against your specific date. And it is outdoors, which is spectacular in May and September and cold in November.
XS: when it is the right call
XS is the pick when you want the classic Vegas nightclub experience at the highest level of finish in the city, when your group is a couple or a well dressed mixed group, or when you are here outside pool season. It is also the answer on Monday, when neither of the pool parties is running and XS still is.
The full head to head against the other big nightclub is in XS vs OMNIA.
Straight comparison
Cost
Encore Beach Club daybeds start around 1,500 for the group, with cabanas above that and bungalows above those. XS and EBC at Night start around 2,000. But per hour and per person, the day party is comfortably the cheapest of the three, and general admission at a dayclub is a real product rather than a punishment, which is not true at a nightclub.
Crowd
All three skew young and EDM heavy. Encore Beach in the day is the most social and easiest to talk to people at. XS at 1am is the most dressed. EBC at Night is somewhere between, with a slightly more committed crowd, because you have to know it is on.
Dress code
Completely different. Encore Beach Club is swimwear and a coverup for the walk through the casino. XS is the strictest nightclub door on the Strip, with collared shirts and dress shoes specified for men, no athletic wear and no shorts. EBC at Night sits closer to the nightclub end than the pool end, so do not turn up in board shorts.
Timing
Pool guest lists cut around noon, and the good real estate is gone before that, so plan to be at the door by 11:30am. Nightclub lists cut around 11pm. Both cutoffs are real and both are the most common way a plan falls apart.
The move if you can afford both
Encore Beach Club on Saturday afternoon, XS on Friday or Sunday night. That gives you the two halves of the Wynn party experience without doing back to back late nights, and it is the itinerary we build most often for groups staying at Encore or Wynn.
Tell a host your dates and group size and we will price daybeds, cabanas and tables across all three so you can compare like for like. Free guest lists for all of them, no booking fee on any of it. You can also browse Encore Beach Club, EBC at Night and XS individually.
