The 2024 Las Vegas Pool Season Is Here

The 2024 Las Vegas Pool Season Is Here

The dayclubs are fully open and the calendar is loaded through Labor Day. By mid-June the daytime parties are already running headliners every weekend, and the rooftop and ground-level pools are pulling the same crowds the nightclubs do, just twelve hours earlier. If you are coming out this summer, the smart move is to pick your pool by the day you are in town rather than chasing one name.

Pick your pool by the day

Every dayclub has a personality, and the day of the week matters as much as the venue. Here is how the strong days shake out in 2024.

  • Saturday: Encore Beach Club is the loudest, most stacked Saturday on the Strip. Three tiers, a swim-up bar, and the biggest dance acts of the summer. Get there early because it fills before noon.
  • Sunday: Wet Republic at MGM Grand runs a serious Sunday with house and open-format DJs. It is more compact than Encore Beach, which means the energy stays tight all afternoon.
  • Friday: Marquee Dayclub at The Cosmopolitan sits high above the Strip with a real view, and Fridays there are an easy way to start a weekend before the crowds peak.
  • Any day you want shade and quiet: TAO Beach reopened with a bigger footprint and leans more lounge than rave, which is perfect if you want sun without a wall of bass.

The newer rooms worth knowing

Two spots have changed the map. Ayu Dayclub at Resorts World brought a Bali-inspired layout and a younger, fashion-forward crowd, and it has become one of the better Saturday and Sunday options off the center Strip. Stadium Swim at Circa downtown is its own animal, an open-air amphitheater of pools with giant screens, open most of the year, and the place to be when there is a fight or a big game on. It is also one of the few pools that runs strong on weekdays.

What a day actually costs

General admission gets you in the door, but it does not get you a place to sit. If you are a group of four or more, a daybed or cabana is usually the better value because you are splitting a minimum instead of buying overpriced rounds at a packed bar. Daybeds often start around 750 to 1,500 depending on the day and the headliner, and cabanas climb from there because they include shade, seating, and sometimes a private plunge pool. We break the numbers down in our bottle service pricing guide, and the same logic applies poolside.

How to get in free before the cutoff

Here is the part most visitors miss. Most dayclubs run a free guest list that gets you reduced or no cover if you arrive before a set time, usually before noon or 1pm. A real host adds your names to the list, you skip the regular admission line, and you walk in without paying a fee to us. The catch is the cutoff, so plan to be at the door early. If you would rather lock in a daybed, a host prices it for your exact date with no booking fee added on top. Start on our dayclubs page to see what is running, or read how it works first.

Hydrate, plan, and beat the heat

June through August in Las Vegas regularly runs past 105 degrees, and the pool decks are concrete that holds heat. Drink water between cocktails, get there earlier than you think you need to, and bring cash for the attendants. Sunscreen is non-negotiable, and most clubs will not let you bring in outside bottles, so buy water inside even though it stings. The people who have a great pool day are the ones who showed up early, claimed shade, and paced themselves.
