Is Drai's still open in Las Vegas?
Partly. The Drai's rooftop nightclub and Drai's Beachclub both closed permanently on 31 October 2025, when The Cromwell was rebranded as The Vanderpump Hotel. That rooftop reopened in May 2026 as Soleia, a resort pool rather than a club. Drai's itself moved back to its original basement home and now runs as Drai's After Hours, Thursday through Sunday with doors at 1am. So Drai's exists, but it is a late night room now, not the rooftop you remember.
The short history
Drai's opened as a basement after hours club in the nineties, long before The Cromwell existed. In 2014 it expanded upstairs into a rooftop nightclub and beach club eleven stories above the Strip, and for a decade that rooftop was the hip hop headquarters of Las Vegas.
That era ended on 31 October 2025. Both the rooftop nightclub and the beach club ran their last nights, and Caesars began converting The Cromwell into The Vanderpump Hotel, which opened to the public at the end of May 2026.
What is on the roof now
The rooftop is now Soleia, a 65,000 square foot pool and event space designed by Lisa Vanderpump. Three tiered pools, bungalows around the perimeter, mezzanine cabanas and daybeds with bottle service, all with the same eleven story view.
It is important to understand what it is and is not. Soleia is a resort pool, not a dayclub. It is a calmer day than the beach club that preceded it, and pool admission is free for hotel guests and locals rather than being a ticketed party. If you were expecting Drai's Beachclub with a new name, it is not that.
Where Drai's actually is
Downstairs, where it started. Drai's After Hours reopened in the basement on 2 November 2025, two days after the rooftop closed, and it is now the Drai's venue. It runs Thursday through Sunday with doors at 1am, in an 11,000 square foot room, and it goes until well after sunrise.
The music is still hip hop, R&B and open format. What has changed is the shape of the night: this is where you go at the end of an evening, not where you start one. See the Drai's After Hours page for current details.
If you wanted the old Drai's
Two different things people miss, and two different answers.
If you wanted the hip hop performance nights, that calendar has spread across the Strip rather than moving to one room. JEWEL at ARIA and TAO at The Venetian carry most of it now, and both book touring artists. Check who is actually booked on your date rather than picking a venue on reputation. Our hip hop clubs guide covers the current map.
If you wanted the rooftop with the view, the closest current equivalents are the terrace at OMNIA and the elevated pool decks. Nothing on the Strip replicates exactly what that roof was, which is a fair thing to be annoyed about.
Is it coming back?
The rooftop is not. It has been rebuilt as Soleia and it is operating as a pool. Drai's as a brand is alive and running downstairs, which is where it began, so the honest framing is that Drai's went home rather than that Drai's closed.
If you had a Drai's night in your plan, tell a host what you actually wanted from it, the hip hop, the rooftop or the late night, and we will point you at whichever current room delivers that. Free guest lists, no booking fee.
